Gathered in a single place, suddenly from heaven came,
sound like rush of vi’lent wind; filled the house that they were in.
—–
Tongues like fire in their midst, on each person came to rest
Filled with Spirit Holy then, they began to speak again.
—–
Folks from far and some from near, gathered there began to hear
in the words they liked to use, of the things that God could do.
—–
Awed, confused, they dared to ask, “what the heck has come to pass?”.
Some suggested it was wine that brought on the sound sublime.
—–
One stood up and bid all hear, word of what was happ’ning there.
“This is what a prophet wrote, long ago for all to know.”
—–
“In the last days it will be, youth will speak out prophecy.
Some see visions, some dream dreams. Slaves attain equality.”
—–
“Sky above and earth below, will show signs so all may know.
Of the Lord’s great glor’ious day. Call on God, and you’ll be saved.”
