Don’t Delay

A synagogue leader sought Jesus one day. “My daughter is dying, please come. Don’t delay.”

He went and a crowd followed pressing on them. They wanted to see him do wonders again.

—–

Approaching the house some came out with the news, “your daughter is dead, so this guy has no use.”

On hearing these words, Jesus said to the grieved,  “Don’t fear anything. You should only believe.”

—-

Approaching the house he asked, “Why do you weep? The child isn’t dead, she is merely asleep.”

With parents and friends he went to where she was. He touched her and called her, “It’s time to get up.”

—–

The people who saw, and the little girl, too, responded, amazed at the things He could do.

He ordered them strictly that no one should know, and told them to feed her before he would go.
