The people on the journey were impatient to arrive.
Complaints were made about the food that kept them all alive.
The Lord sent biting snakes among them. Many people died.

Repenting of their sin they went to Moses, bared their souls.
God told him, “make a snake of bronze and put it on a pole.”
The bitten people looked that way so they could be made whole.
