From the Wilderness of Sin

From the wilderness of sin,

they moved on to Rephidim,

There was nothing there to drink.

People quarreled and complained.

Moses turned and said to them,

“Why is it you test the Lord?”

“Why,” they asked, “are we out here?”

Home in Egypt seemed so dear.

Bondage, yes, but water clear.

—–

Moses prayed, and God said, “go.”

Take some elders so they’ll know,

Water from a rock can flow.
