He went to Galilee and settled by the sea;
fulfilling yet another bit of prophecy.
That those who dwelt in dark, the light of heav’n might see
and all who sat where death held sway might be set free.
—–
Two brothers there he called, while walking by the sea.
“Give up the fish and turn to folk. Come, follow me.”
Another pair he spied, and likewise to them cried.
They left their boats and nets and father Zebedee.
—–
Through Galilee he ranged, as good news he proclaimed.
“The Kingdom’s coming so repent,” was his refrain.
Diseases met with cure in home and synagogue.
So sickness fled and health returned among that lot.
