Neither heaven’s angels nor the Son of God
know for sure the moment when we will be called.
So we must be ready for that day to come when we will be taken to eternal homes.

No one knows the moment nor can guess the hour
when God’s son is coming with redeeming pow’r.

As the days of Noah, so ours too will be,
busy at our labours, lost in revelry.
Heaven’s windows opened, lives were swept away.
So will be Christ’s advent on that final day.

At a task together, two in harmony,
one remained in harness, other was set free.
Two toiled at the grindstone, meal for meals they made.
One continued working while her friend escaped.
