When You Possess the Land

When, after conquest, you possess the

land that the Lord is giving you,

and you have settled, don’t forget to

bring what you’ve raised and offer thanks.

God will appoint a time and place,

Where you can meet a friendly face.

—–

Ancestors wandered down to Egypt

Starting as few but there they grew.

Suffering under harsh affliction

Heard by the Lord, they were led out.

With mighty hand and outstretched arm

Led to this place, set free from harm.

—–

Once in the land of milk and honey

bearing first fruits of what’s been raised.

Bow before God with all your neighbors;

make it a day to celebrate.

Bounty received from God above.

Share it as well in peace and love.
