As wine to divine my libation is poured
It’s time for departure to join with our Lord.
I’ve fought the good fight and have finished the race.
Though tempted to drop it, I’ve held onto faith.

A crown is reserved with my name on the rim,
and yours is awaiting as you long for him.
Though people deserted, with God at my side
The gospel was fully proclaimed far and wide.
—–
The threat was disarmed and attacks were defrayed;
a rescue from evil effected again.
I’m saved for God’s kingdom. I’ll say it again:
To God be the glory forever, amen.
