Righteousness and wickedness reside together cheek by jowl,
even where the cry of evil rises heavenward to howl.
But to sweep away en-ti-re populations in one act
violates the principle of justice and the one of tact.

Merely fifty are enough to save a town of wicked folk.
Even forty-five would be enough to hold destruction off.
Forty, thirty, twenty are just numbers in discussion when
Wicked people find reprieve in righteousness as lived by ten.
