Look upon our land with favor,
As we face a hostile neighbor.
God, forgive iniquity.
Come and pardon all our sin.
—–
Let us hear what God will speak,
words we know will bring us peace.
Let’s be faithful, turn our hearts,
unto God from inward parts.
—–
God’s salvation is at hand,
and God’s glory’s in our land.
Steadfast love and faith will meet,
righteousness embracing peace.
—–
From the ground new faith will spring,
righteousness will fall like rain.
God will give us what is good,
and our land yield what it should.
—–
Righteousness precedes the Lord,
making way for God’s true word.
Sovereign over sea and land,
by whose grace our people stand.
