If you think the House of God contains the pulpit where you preach,
be aware of ev’ry stair you climb and every word you speak.
Lis-ten-ing is better than each sac-ri-fice you thought you made.
Don’t be like the fools who babble on the road to hell they take.

Hold your tongue when chances come to tell the Lord what’s to be done.
Stay aware of who is where, the power stance of every one.
Speaking in a still, small voice, eternal God has much to say.
You might profit from some silence of your own this very day.
