In the first book that I wrote to you, O friend of God
I explained the things that Jesus did and what he taught.
On the day that he went up, and departed from his friends
he gave promise of a one to come and power then.

“Be my witnesses both far and near,” he told them then.
As they watched he rose up heavenward, before two men
Asked them, “What you lookin’ for?” and then added something more.
Saying Jesus who was taken up would come again.
