Once Upon a Dinner (for the 4th Sunday in Lent)

Once upon a dinner, with some friendly sinners,

One of those who loved him, washed his feet with perfume.

—–

But another who knew, things like cost and value,

Offered a suggestion, proffered up rejection.

 —–

Knowing what was coming, what was in the running,

putting things in context, Jesus forced a reset.
