Thus says the LORD who makes a way through waters of the sea,
In meeting horse and warrior sends them down to defeat.
“Do not remember former things, consider things of old.
What’s new is here already: in the wilderness a road.”

When water comes to desert places animals respond.
The rivers there are not for them, far out in that beyond.
God’s people who are passing through for only several days
will find a place to rest and play, and give their maker praisel
