Imitate me, sisters, brothers, and the other ones who do.
Don’t be like the enemies of Christ; hear what I’m telling you.
For destruction is their end, they’re gluttons who rejoice in shame.
We, in contrast, hope in heaven and in Christ who comes to save.

He’ll transform humiliation into glory by his pow’r.
Therefore, sisters, brothers whom I love and long for, do not cower.
Jesus is your guarantee, and you can trust that in his way,
your eternal destiny is soul and body to be saved.
