Tinted glass may save your eyes from glare and blur and blind-ness,
Scent applied to mask a smell can be a social kind-ness,
Veils and masks that cover up the fading of your glory,
All at base deceive and tell a very diff’rent story.

Interventions can be harsh when stripping off disguises.
Light comes in, exposing sin, and freedom then arises.
Liberated by the Spirit, knowing we’re accepted,
We’re transformed; our hearts are warmed; God’s glory is reflected.
—–
Serving in this ministry, by grace of God’s own mercy.
We refuse sly arguments and language that is earthy.
Truths we use quite openly in sight of God and people,
Speak of right. They’re never trite. They might as well be creedal.
