They knew that he had been with God; his face was shining bright.
Which stirred up fear in Aaron and in ev’ry Is’relite.
He called them near and they came back to have a little chat.
He told them the commands of God. They listened, that was that.
The shining made him hard to face, so he took out a veil
and wore it almost every place so friendship wouldn’t fail.
But when he prayed inside God’s tent he didn’t need a mask;
He relayed what the Lord had said, for that was Moses’ task.
