Lord, You’ve Searched Me (Psalm 138:1-6)

Lord, you’ve searched me and you know the

gist of all the things I’ve thought.

When I’ve sat, with whom I’ve lain

and risen, who I’ve loved and fought.

All my ways are open to you,

all my paths you know ahead.

What I’ll say before I say it,

what I love and who I dread.

All around you fence me in with

your protection ev’ry day.

This is more than I can fathom,

far beyond what I can say.
