Clad in Beauty

Take off the veils of sorrow and of woe.

Be clad in beauty everywhere you go.

Put on a robe of righteousness from God,

and wear a crown of glory evermore.

For God has given you an awesome name

of peace and glory, everlasting fame.

—–

Get to your feet, and stand upon the height;

look to the east, behold the awesome sight.

Your children gather from around the earth

for God has summoned all to joyful mirth.

Once they were scattered and were led astray;

God has regathered them to you this day.

—–

Bring down the mountains. Lower all the hills.

Straight make the road, and ev’ry valley fill.

Walk safely in God’s shining glory now

In shade of trees and many fragrant boughs.

Come forth in joy, and then go out in peace

Clad in God’s mercy and in righteousness.
