Punishment should fit the crime so, do not over-do.
Though some sins are hideous and harm more than a few.
When a perpetrator’s caught and tried and sentence passed
That’s the one to punish and not a fam-’ly en masse.

“Do the crime, you’ll do the time,” no matter black or white.
Ev’ry shade of person ought to know wrong from right.
Ev’ryone must practice some restraint of their excess.
When we’ve lost some property, not ask more than redress.
