Keep Things Together Leviticus 15:31-33

The “lig” in “ligament” is like the “lig” that’s in “religion”.

It binds things tightly, keeping them aligned by strength and tension.

—–

As ligaments in hips and knees get stretched and sometimes snap.

Religions sometimes overreach and have to be called back.

—–

The body made for wondrous things can suffer vile infection.

A faith that’s based on holiness can likewise cause rejection.

—–

Be kind to each, keep watch for where a strength can lead to failing.

Life isn’t kind, but we can be. It makes for smoother sailing.
