When “eye for eye and tooth for tooth” extracts too high a price,
and local regulations don’t allow blood sacrifice,
then try to figure out the value of whatever’s lost,
and add to that a little more to represent the cost.
So after all is said and done, when debts have been repaid,
walk boldly forth with head held high, unfettered; unafraid.
If gossips babble on about the trespassing you’ve done,
trust in the word that you have heard, forgiveness has been won.
