When a nation has been guilty, and its sin has been revealed,
saying, “that was long ago,” leaves people hurt and wounds unhealed.

Current leaders bear the burden, and the blood is on their hands.
It’s not pleasant, nor so simple, to repair a sin-filled land..

There’s no way to make things better when offense we won’t admit.
Through repentance and forgiveness lies the path to getting fit.
