Many practices of people make their lands impure.
In the history of nations, some have disappeared.
Racist ways bring many down.
Lust for power fouls a crown.
But it’s climate change that in its way makes all things weird.
—–
When calamities cause refugees to flee your way,
Take them in and treat them equally without delay.
In the way you treat the poor,
as you make them feel secure,
all humanity will see and hope for better days.
—–
So, obey the Lord and keep the word that once was sworn
by the ancestors and founders, for the yet unborn.
If you don’t want to get burned,
heed the lessons others learned.
Root your life in righteousness from which you can’t be torn.
