Space for What is Wild

Everything God gives is good, every place and time.

We’re the ones who wall things off, drawing sandy lines.

—–

“This for now” and “then for that”, who can marry whom.

If somebody breaks our rules, we’ll pronounce the doom.

—–

Ev’ry day at morn and eve, light’s not bright or dim.

Mixture is creation’s way. Sometimes “she” is “him”.

—–

Anna may well have an Eve, Adam know a Steve.

God created us in love. It’s a complex weave.

—–

Lines we draw and sides we take, oft’ profane God’s name.

Children also pay the cost of our pointless game.

—–

What’s it mean to cross a line; what to be defiled.

Learn the ways of God that leave space for what is wild.
