I am my beloved’s, he desires me.
“Come,” I called him, “let’s go forth into the fields
We’ll take lodging out there, where the vineyards bud,
While we view the blossoms, we will have such fun.”
—–
“Pomegranates blooming will perfume our love.
Mandrakes lend their fragrance, to our tender touch.
Fruited are the doorways, to the chamber where
I’ve laid up some pleasure that I want to share.”
