A scoundrel plans what’s wrong
with burning words.
A gossip monger’s voice
is near unheard.
The violence they do
to friends and neighbors who
get led into their traps,
is hard to view.
—–
The crowns of glory gained
in righteous life
through patient tolerance
of fuss and strife,
display the might of those
whose tempers are controlled.
They leave results to God,
who bears the load.
