A harsh word stirs up anger. Soft answers fend off wrath.
The mouths of fools spout folly; the wise guide diff’rent paths.
The eyes of God are watching the evil and the good,
and judgment will be falling, on everyone it should.

Perversity breaks spirits, and gentleness brings life.
So heed the admonitions of those who gave you life.
With righteousness there’s treasure, and wickedness yields loss,
so opt for spreading knowledge, and you won’t pay the cost.
