Wrath’s on Tap

Tranquil minds give rise to life; their anger rises slow-ly.

Understanding finds a home there; wisdom’s welcomed whol-ly.

Honor’s found in being kind to those in need of special care.

Righteousness exalts a nation, brings it favor from on high.

—–

Hasty tempers make the bones rot, folly flows where passion rules.

Evildoing dooms the wicked. Wisdom shuns the hearts of fools.

When the poor are dealt oppression, God, our maker, takes their side.

Sin reproaches any people. Wrath’s on tap, we cannot hide.
