Just because it’s in the Bible doesn’t mean it’s so,
nonetheless, there are some lines that show us how to go.
If you live in ways perverse, you’re sure to be found out.
When you wink at evil, trouble’s comin’, there’s no doubt.
—–
Babble like a stupid fool and you will come to ruin.
Making wicked cravings fail is part of what God’s doin’.
Treasures gained by wickedness will profit not at all.
Names will rot and be forgot as reputations fall.
—–
Righteousness won’t make you rich, but neither will you starve.
Blessings will accumulate to people wise of heart.
Heed commandments and you’ll live while boldly making peace.
Live secure. Rebuke what’s evil. Keep integrity.
—–
Diligence and wisdom in a child make parents glad
Labor when there’s work to do and earnings can be had.
Poverty’s not shameful when there isn’t any work.
God will send you neighbors, so their charity don’t shirk.
