Wisdom cries to everybody, “You’re all simple. Be like me.”
Sure, she’s right, but few will follow, since she calls so critically.
Common sense says flies are caught with honey, not with vinegar.
When reproof is called for, there is no need to go nuclear.

Arrogance and “told you so” will draw no converts to your side.
Laughing at calamity and mocking loss are flat-out snide.
In your rightness you’ll be lonely. Though we’ll lose, we’re in a crowd.
If you’d win us, first befriend us. Don’t go shouting trash out loud.
