When a vow is taken lightly, when a promise doesn’t hold
More than just the trust is broken in the lies the oft’ get told.
—–
Though you weren’t the one who promised; you just joined in what was done.
You were tempted and relented. As things went you both had fun.
—–
Put a flame inside your pocket. See whose clothes get turned to ash.
Help another break a promise, soon enough it bites YOUR ass.
—–
No one hates a starving person who steals just enough to eat.
But repayment is extracted when the famine time has ceased.
—–
Help another break a promise, one that wasn’t yours to keep,
it’s no matter who’s to blame, the consequence is yours to reap.
