We’ll learn about wisdom, to understand insight,
for gaining instruction in how to be wise;
that righteousness, justice and equity prosper
so young and simple people might prudently rise.

The old who gain learning can be more discerning
through proverbs and riddles that challenge a mind.
In fear of the Lord, not despising of instruction,
the end of foolishness and true knowledge we’ll find.
