Take up weapons, God, and contend, / with all who oppose me.
Reassure my soul and defend / from those who’d depose me.
Turn them back, and dishonor them, / blown away with rejection.
Angels clean it all up and then, / I’ll win the election.
I am innocent; they are wrong, / yet they’ve tried to trap me.
Snatch them up as they go along, / thinking that they are crafty.
Then my soul will rejoice in you, / all my bones will be thankful.
You deliver me from the storm, / into life that’s tranquil.
God, you know that the news is fake, / journalists assault me,
asking questions for mischief’s sake, / based on premises faulty.
I remember, when they were sick, / empathy was my byword
When the shoe’s on the other foot, / they’ll get what’s required.
When I stumble, it makes them glad, / tooth and nail they gash me.
How much longer, God, can I stand, / how they mock and they trash me?
Rescue me, and I’ll thank you lots, / in the congregation.
At a rally that’s in the works, / there’ll be jubilation.
Fancy folk with deceitful words, / always cause confusion.
I speak simply,my meaning’s clear, / “There was no collusion.”
You’re my witness, God, I’ve been right. / I’ll go down in hist’ry.
Don’t let them have their hearts’ desire, / come, confirm my vict’ry.
You are great and you take delight, / in your servant’s welfare.
While I sing of my righteousness, / send my enemies hell fire.
Make America Great Again, / there’ll be great elation.
All day long I will praise you for, / total vindication.
