Shifting Boundaries

Ascribe to the Lord, both glory and strength

and worship our God, in depth and at length.

The voice of the Lord over oceans is heard

where winds, waves and waters are stilled by a word.

—–

The voice of the Lord, breaks cedar and oak,

makes borders to shift, and nations a joke,

makes light of our his-to-ry, heals us of sin,

to clear out a future where new things begin.

—–

Flee crisis and threat, the Lord’s greater yet.

We’ve nothing to fear, no reason to fret.

So strengthened by justice, equipped to bring peace,

with confidence blessed, we are off to the streets.
