O Let me know my end, Lord, the measure of my days.
How fleeting is my life, Lord, beneath your sovereign gaze.
Though short it seems when viewed from a stance on heaven’s height,
Yet as your gracious gift it is precious in my sight.
Though time and life are brief when eternity compares;
Creation but a shadow of heavenly affairs;
So make me wise to choose what has value to endure,
and share what you’ve provided with those who need it more.
