Black Lives Matter

Guarding my ways while the wicked were near to avoid any sin of my tongue;

While muzzled and mute, keeping silent and still, “Holding peace” helped me nothing at all.

Growing distressed from the noise in my ears, Heart aflamed by the things that I heard;

Because Black Lives Matter and silence means death, I will shout, long as God gives me breath.
